The history of the holy bible is very rich and deep in its study. The holy bible consist of inspired scriptures that make up a total of 66 books: 39 books in the Old Testament and 27 books in the New Testament. The holy bible is the only printed book that changes the lives of people. It is filled with love, forgiveness, and hope. The scriptures as written in the bible are inspired by men of God. For one to understand and accept, the bible faith is essential. We must understand that the world and the people were created by someone far more powerful that man or evolution. We believe without a doubt in the powerful presence of God Almighty.
History records that men have transcribed and written books. Of the various, bible versions, The King James bible had become acceptance bible. During the early church, the Roman Catholics were dominate leaders. They had written their bible in Latin Vulgar, which was the common language of the common people. The religion of the Roman Catholics did spread throughout other countries. Yet, their bible remained written in Latin, a language in which the many could not read or understand. This was a great problem for people who wanted to understand the bible.
England had declared its independence over the Roman Catholic Church and had formed the Church of England with the monarch as it head. The protestants decided that they needed their own bible. There had been several attempts for Protestant translations in English. John Wycliffe was the first English bible. Then in the 1500’s Tyndale translated the bible into the common language of the people from the original Greek and Hebrew. John Huss had tried to translate the bible for the Presbyterians of Scotland, who were a Reformation group, and Martin Luther had already translated the Bible in German. There were several English versions, none which were perfect, being written by single men. The request was made to have a standardized bible that all people could read.
During the reign of King James, he approved the formation of about 50 men to translate and write an English bible. The men were known to be great scholars fluent in Greek, Hebrew, and Latin. These men spent 6-8 years on this great masterpiece. The Greek scholars studied and interpreted the New Testament, The Hebrew scholars studied and interpreted the Old Testament and the Latin scholars studied and interpreted the Catholic bible. The King James printed version was interpreted by anointed men who worked to together to produce this bible. One should keep in mind, when asked why this version is so acceptable, history records that prior to King James, the men who studied and printed bibles, worked solely independently.
King James did not write the book. It is named after him because he authorized and approved the scholars who interpreted and who wrote the English standard. He was responsible for providing a bible that could be understand by many. Because this was during his reign, he had to pay the bill. He paid for their expenses and for the print of the bible.
Let’s look at the holy bible in this example. In the natural, a great movie is produced. In the front line you have the talented actors. Behind the scene of the great movie is the director. In the spiritual, the scriptures were written, studied and interpreted by a selected group. Behind the interpretation of holy bible, God is the author. The same God that gave inspiration to the holy men, gives us the power to understand and live the printed words of the best book of all time, published during the reign of King James VIII.
In conclusion, the holy bible is a cohesive and reliable book that people can read and understand. It is given that people may know God, know about salvation, and know about eternal life. Satan uses way to try to distract us from bible truth because he does not want us to know God. He uses the word in a negative ways to distract the would-be-believers and tries to discourage the believers. When asked, I see God as the only author of the Holy Bible and I am a witness that the bible will change your life, if you let it. “Knowing this first, that no prophecy in the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but Holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” (I Peter 1:20-21)
