What a mighty God who loves us! His word speaks to the core of our hearts to keep trusting in him. In his word, we read about his great wonders which he has done out of love. His very nature is love. His word confirms that he has always taken care of his people. His has a purpose for all things. He has so much power to do all things. He is praised for his many blessings. Yet those same blessings are also his miracles.
In our fast paced world, we want it right away. While we are praying, he has already answered. His blessings are always spoken of. But it may not feel comfortable to speak of his miracles in our time. As we take in account of so many of great wonders, each can be viewed as miracles. To wake up in the morning, birth of babies, rescues from a life threatening situation, and so much more all come to fruition by the mighty hands of God.
The Apostle Paul wrote of a thorn in his side. Thorns are given that we may turn to God. It is not certain if he was referring to a physical ailment, such as the size of his eyes or his handwriting. Perhaps he had a personal struggle from within. While praying to Jesus, it was then he learned that the strength of God is made perfect in weakness. Whatever thorns we may experience, it is good to know that we are covered by the miracle power of God. In times when you just don't know, he is the one to turn to. In times of a melancholy spirit, he is the one who lifts us up.
God has done some remarkable miracles that remain in our teachings and witnesses. Moses by the hand of God, took the Israelites through the sea on dry land. The water was held up on both sides until the Israelites passed through. When the water was released Pharaoh and his people were destroyed. God enacts his miracles so that we will acknowledge him and become witnesses to what he does. The red sea deliverance was what call an incredible miracle. But let's not forget the smaller ones are just as important. Believe that God still works signs and miracles everyday. Let us thank God for the seen and unseen miracles everyday. We may not see it, but God see all things and continues to do wonderful things in our lives. Take a closer look at what God is doing in you and you will see him as a miracle working God.
