God's love for man is simply amazing. It is so great that he gave his only begotten son to save man. Nothing changes his divine omnipotent character. Even at the fall of Adam and Eve his love still prevailed. As a result of the devil's temptation and deception, man needed redemption to have peace with God. Eve was deceived by the serpent. Adam, whom God gave charge of all things, was not deceived. He gave into the temptation. Was Eve responsible for tempting Adam?
Men and women of faith are expected to help each other in their journey of faith. The level of strengths and weaknesses and faith will vary for all believers. It is essential for them to embrace the privilege to pray and connect to Jesus Christ. "If a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such a one in the spirit of meekness..." Spiritual restoration is given in the discernment of wisdom, not in critical judgment. The spiritual believer approaches the situation with humility to prevent falling into temptation herself. She that is spiritual will pray for guidance as to how to help him that is spiritually weak.
While we are expected to bear each other's burdens, we still must bear our own burden. In the garden of Eden, Eve blamed the serpent and Adam blamed God for the women he had given him. Every saved and unsaved man and woman must stand before the judgment seat of Christ on their own merits. "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad." (2 Corinthians 5:10)
Being our brother's keeper, we trust in God's way of escape. "There is no temptation that is not common to man. But God is faithful." He will deliver you in the time of temptation. It is not his intent for anyone to fall from his grace. He has made a way to escape, that we may bear it. The way is in the person of Jesus Christ. He bears all the sins of the world. Every morning the opportunity is given to ask for his forgiveness and power over the flesh. "Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." At the very presence of evil, call on the name of Jesus. In our faith journey, we learn Christ is everything. Deep down in the treasures of their faith, they are convinced of his promise, "Thou will keep him perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusted in thee".
