"Behold I Come Quickly"

In Jesus Christ, we have an eternal promise of a new life in the new heaven and earth. The world as it is in turmoil and sorrows is not our permanent home. The Holy Spirit reminds us that we are in a faith journey. Upon his second glorious return, Christ shall welcome us to our heavenly home where love and peace is a constant flow for the innumerable number of sons and daughters.

"Behold, I come quickly" is repeated by Christ three times in chapter 22. It is a message of warning and hope. The promise of heaven helps keep things in perspective when we hear and experience the troubles that seem to plagued this world. Our present life is temporary. At some point, we will die. Yet, we will live again if we are found holy and righteous at his appearance. This is why accepting and believing in salvation is so imperative to every living soul.

In heaven, there is no sickness, disease, hatred, killing, and all those like things. These conditions are totally not in the nature of God. When Christ returns, "he that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he that is filthy, let him be filthy still; and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still, and he that is holy, let him be holy still."  Whatever state of conduct you are in when he returns, you will remain. His appointed time to come will not make you holy. You must do that now, while you have a choice. He is coming.

As the world is full of uncertainties and shocking new stories from day to day that drastically affect the lives of so many families, hold on to the promise that our Savior assures us "Surely I come quickly" and we shall inherit a kingdom where there will only be good news: God our Father and Jesus Christ our Savior.

May the peace and blessings of God rest on you and your families.
