There are times when we come short of making our goals. All the victories that we have will not make up for that one goal not obtained. Most of our goals whether they be education, health, career, and even ministries are often done in our own human effort. So when we come short, there is nothing to makeup for the short fall. Thank God it is not like that in Jesus Christ.
Jesus, the Savior of the world, gives us the victory of when we come short because of our sins. Apostle Paul wrote to the church at Rome, "For all have sinned, and come short,of the glory of God" . We were born in iniquity. By the redemption given by Jesus, we are born again into a life that reconnects with God. But we must be believe in the eternal God and Savior.
The church at Rome relied on the written law for forgiveness. Paul taught how the law and Christ are connected. The law, the ten commandments, was given that we may know what sin is. Sin separates us from the glory of God. Jesus came to fulfill the law. He forgives and cleanses our sins. Through his redemptive power, our broken relationship with God was saved. Salvation gives us the honor to go before God because we confess our sins and believe in his only plan of redemption.
Jesus became the atonement for us to fill the broken gap that was between us and God. Being in Christ is the only way to keep us from falling into sin, again. He is the only one authorized by God to make up our short fall. "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith."
