Scripture: Romans 12
When we accept Christ as our savior, we acknowledge that he is able to help us in every aspect of our life. We present our bodies, our life, as a living sacrifice. We can live a healthy spiritual, physical, mental and financial life by the love of God. There will be times when trouble will disturb us. But we have an assurance that Jesus will be with us. “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”
In the inspiring words of Apostle Paul, he encourages believers to live in peace, “If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.” God knew that we will have difficult times with each other and with our enemies. This is why being in Christ is so important because when the flesh is weak, the spirit is our strength. In the word, we learn how to have good righteous behavior and not to allow our anger or disappointment shield our minds of the hope that comes from Christ. In times of disagreement, we must control our displeasure. Try not to allow yourself to respond in a negative way because someone have done you wronged. Trust that vengeance belongs to God.
As we continue to draw closer to the Lord, we will understand his will. We must not allow disagreements with others to affect us in a negative way. We are called to a higher calling. Find ways to give kindness in the worst situations. Again, we can do this by relying on the help of the Lord. He knows are intentions and our limitations.
You must keep the light on yourself. Keep in mind that we all need Jesus. Don’t allow the negative responses from others to weigh you down. Keep your confidence in Christ, who is are leader of a higher standard in good wholesome behavior. It is alright to reach out to someone who you feel need help. But if it continues to consume you to the point of weakening your spirit, you must turn the situation over to Jesus. You can still keep the situation in prayer, but now you must take the time to continue to groom your own person in Christ.
We are in a time when it seems like evil prevails. But Christ prevailed over all evil when he rose from the dead and the Father gave him all power. It is because of Christ we must overcome evil with good. It is so easy to become consume with feelings of disappointment and sometimes defeat. But in good conscience, we can overcome evil with good. We do this by embracing the love of God in Jesus Christ, which is our reasonable service.
