John 16:22-24; Matthew 7:7-11; James 1:17
The love of Christ is continual. We can depend on it. His love is not given to us according to our responses to him. His last words to his disciples tell us that he wants to give us all things, according to the will of his Father. It is through the faith of Jesus, that all things are in his name. “Every good gift and perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of Lights, with whom is no variableness neither shadow of turning.”
Before his departure from the disciples, he spent time telling them that he would always be with them. He shared with them the continual hope that is engraved in the hearts of believers that whatsoever we ask the Father, he will do it. Our heavenly Father wants nothings but the best for us. This promise is expanded and elaborated throughout the Gospels.
God the Father has given Christ the Savior power in of all things. He is well deserved of the honor. For he laid down his life for the sins of the world. When we acknowledge Christ, glory is given to the Father. He has entrusted all things in the hands of Jesus.
When you pray, keep in mind that whatsoever you ask, it is in Jesus name. Not only does he take care of our daily provisions, but he blesses our spiritual life. “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” Not just our daily provisions. But he offers us something far greater, an understanding of salvation and for that deep connected root with him. He gave his life, so that we can have a bonded relationship with him. He gives us present peace and eternal peace. Whatever your request maybe, he cares. He calls us to name it, claim it and believe it. It is all in His name.
