Scriptures: Galatians 6:1-9
Graciously, our heavenly Father gives us new mercies through the life saving power of our blessed Savior. Though underserving, he constantly gives to us because his love is unmeasurable. It is because he loves us that we must learn how to accept one another in love.
We do not deny that there is so much evil throughout the world. People of God are called to keep all things in prayer and to trust in the ever presence of God. For this world and all that are in the world belongs to him. He has called us to love. Never give up when you are on the right path, as according to the word of God. Doing good is all Christ. With his help we can overcome any obstacle. The enemy will attempt to steal our joy, peace and even our salvation. Therefore, we pray and believe for his power every day to live, love, do and know what is right.
We are called not to beat down a man who have wronged us. Instead, speak to him in a spirit of meekness considering that you might be in his position. One of our brotherly duties is to bear each other burdens. In order words, we express a level of concern for each other. When your brother is going through a problem or a time of discouragement, attempt to reach out and help him. Hopefully, he is willingly to accept help. We experienced lows and highs together.
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked; for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” We want to sow things that are Christ-like. What would Christ do? Christ will welcome us. We must not be like the Levite and the priest who did not help the beaten brother in the parable of the Good Samaritan. To do what is good we must keep Christ before us. Keep calling and believing in Christ.
The Apostle taught that we should have a spirit of unity. Let’s not fool ourselves. When we look in the mirror, ask God to help you see what he sees in you. His spirit will reveal to you the help that you need. He will give us the help. Then we can avoid sowing to the flesh and reaping corruption. With the work of the Holy Spirit, we will sow to the spirit and reap life everlasting.
The bible teaches that if it in your power to do good, you do good. “And let us not be weary in well-doing: for in due season you shall reap, if we faint not. “ When it is in your power to do right by someone, you do it. You can’t go wrong, to do right. At times, it will be difficult to turn the other cheek, when you have been wronged. But if good is in you, you do good. Our strength is renewed each morning by the mercies and grace of God. It is through his amazing grace that we will not be weary in doing good. When we rely on his grace, he will renew our strength. If our strength fails us and we become weary in doing good, we may not see the results of our labor.
If we wait for somebody else to do good, you take the risk of all failing. God’s time is not our time. God can do what he wants, when he wants, how he wants and who he wants to include in his plan. If we wait for somebody else to do good, you take the risk of all failing. Some just can’t reach out to do that which is good. So if you are one who chooses to do good because you know it is right, do good. We want to please God. Keep in mind that Christ is good to us everyday. Keep reaching out to each other.
What would Christ do? He would reach out to you and me. We are saved by Christ. We have accepted him to be our Savior. We have made the choice to follow in his footsteps. We must be in a position to pray and encourage each other in this journey. Don’t worry about what the other person is doing. There are countless angels who have the task of taking care of every living human being. There is an angel assigned to record all the good that we do. When we do good, we demonstrate faith that we believe in the commandments of God, “to love thy neighbor as thyself”. God does forgive, but at times we still suffer when we do contrary to God’s will. Thank God, we are saved by the blood of Christ because we have accepted him as our Savior.
Be the one to extend the olive branch. If it is in you to good, do it. We must not allow the divisions that the enemy promotes to separate God’s people. We must see above temptations, looking unto Jesus Christ the author and finisher of our faith.
