Sermon Take Away: He Gives Us The Victory

Scripture: I Corinthians 15:52-58; Psalm 27; II Corinthians 2:14

Sometimes our days are tough, when it seems like things are not going according to our plans. It is during those times, that we are most thankful for the people of God. With their words of encouragement, our spirits are lifted in the victory that comes from Jesus Christ. The bible tells the lives of faithful servants. Job for example, lost everything, including his family. But because he remained faithful and trusted God, all was restored. In the most difficult of times, we still have the victory in God through Jesus.

“But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Not only do we have victory in our present life, but we will have victory in death. Unbelievers will not have victory. Only those who remain in the faith of Jesus will receive the ultimate victory reward, eternal life. Eternal life is a gift from God. While we will have uncertain days, we must know to trust in Christ is a direct link to victory. He has the final say over our life. In our faith journey, we must remain: steadfast which is to be loyal; unmovable which is to remain with Christ; and always abounding in the work of the Lord is to continue to do his work, including to love one another. We want to be that beacon of light. If you lift up Christ, he will draw all men to him. God pleases us everyday with life and new mercies. We have to show our love to him. Our work is not vain because he will give us the victory in your trial.

Give God praises in songs and in instruments. It is through our trials, while waiting and trusting for deliverance, he brings you the victory. Just trusting him is the victory! We do not give up, but our faith is greater than our moment of discouragement. “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?” In Christ, we have nothing to fear. Victory is to know that he will deliver you and take care of you. Keep moving, do want you know is best. While in prison, the gates were opened and Peter walked out free. God will do the same things for us too.

“Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ”. The acceptance of Jesus Christ has everything to do with us obtaining the victory. God sees the whole pictures. He knows everything about us. He loves us so much that he gave his only son Jesus. Jesus loves us so much that he died for us. He causes us to triumph, he wants the very best for us. When the trial occurs say ‘thank you’. We have to go through the trial to get to the end. Once we receive our triumph, we testify of his goodness. Through our many victories, it is hope that we encourage others to the faith of Jesus Christ. Always means continuous. We must have Jesus to obtain victory in life and in death. Hold on to our seat in heaven. Never give up. Always remember that our God wants us to be happy. Encourage each other in victory in Jesus Christ.
