Sermon Take Away: "He Hears Us"

Writer: Path of Righteousness Church in ChristPath of Righteousness Church in Christ

We serve such a great God who loves us unconditionally. He word is real, truth, hope and absolute. He has given us the privilege to call on him in prayer. Many question and doubt his presence, when we pray for peace and it seems as if peace is diminishing. Doing these times, it must be remembered that our God is faithful in all things.

The church believes "For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him, Amen, unto the glory of God by us." that God's promises are yea and Amen. God will do as he says. When, how, who, why is all in his sovereign hands. One of the promises of prayers is in Matthew 7:7. "Ask and ye shall receive."  When we first heard this, we automatically thought that the prayer request will be answered our way right away. But we learn in faith that this promise has a more richer promise to fulfill. Ask gives us time with God. Attention is turned to him that is able. Time is given to acknowledge that he is in charge of our lives. So while we ask for things we need and want, we are building a relationship of trust with God. All of promises are for all, but the way God chooses to answer is his call.  "For all things work together for good to them who love God, who are called according to his purpose" .

"Seek and ye shall find." Seek gives us the opportunity to let his Spirit work with us to align our will with God. While seeking, we study his word and engage in discussions that are healthy for our spiritual growth. This is how we get to know how great God is. He is not limited to what we pray for. But his will is far greater. He wants to be with us. The bible gives us many lessons of his people who were like us in many ways. They asked and looked for the blessings of God to be fulfilled in their lives. While doing so, they embraced every word of God. At the end result after of every struggle, temptation, and blessings is that he wants us. He hears us.

"Knock and it shall be given to you."  Knock tells us to never stop praying. Prayer keeps us in his presence. He hears every spoken and every silent voice. He is such an incredible God! While knocking, we will remember the powerful gift of salvation. The death of Christ which brings us before him. He is faithful. Parents want to give their children the best. How much more will our heavenly father give us the best. He Hears Us. Your voice is heard. Continue to exercise faith in prayer. While accepting his will, give thanks for all things and trust in his promises.

While we ask, seek, and knock, our salvation in Jesus becomes closer. We will see things more spiritual, than natural. He wants to give us the best in all things. But the greatest are those things that are eternal. He has absolute authority of all things. It is okay to keep asking, seeking, knocking because while we are doing what Jesus commands, He Hears Us.
