Genesis 1&2; Psalm 8
The Sabbath Day is a day of rest. In the day, we remember the marvelous creations of God. Everything was made and set in order for his purpose. His creations display his wisdom and power. In his creations, we see that My God Can Do Anything.
In Genesis, God created all the things that man would need in six days. His glory is revealed in the water, sun, moon, herbs, sea creatures and all his other creations. The joy of the Sabbath is that we take a break from our daily routine to thank him for being the Lord in our lives.
In the Sabbath, God is revealed as our source of power. Only God, could have planned the excellent gift for humanity. It is through his son, Jesus Christ, that we have salvation. His lineage was reserved for 42 generations. At the appointed time, Christ was born, he died and he resurrected. All because God can do anything. As we take time, to rejoice on the Sabbath, let’s continue to extend rejoicing everyday by taking time to thank him for his glory and faithfulness over all things.
