Sermon Take Away: “One Touch Can Change Everything”

Scripture: Colossians 1:13-24

The path of righteousness in Christ is our way to heaven. Righteousness is the freedom of sin. This is fulfilled by the death and resurrection of God’s only begotten son, Jesus Christ. He is the foundation to a righteousness life. Upon acceptance of Christ as our Savior, one touch can change everything.

To abide in righteousness we must be obedient to the word of God and have patience in discipline. While in obedience and discipline, we must rely on the fruits of the spirit to help us in our life with Christ. A steady growth in Christ, leads to a closer relationship with him. The path is gonna start with Jesus and end with Jesús. As long as we stay on the path of righteousness, we will remain in the ark of safety.

In the path of righteousness, Christ is our beginning and he is our end. We become new creatures in him. The old man of Adam(disobedience) is replaced by a new man in Christ (obedience). There is no condemnation when we acknowledge our sins, confess, and repent.

All behavior that is contrary to the love of God cannot abide in his righteousness. In Christ, we are presented unblameable and unreprovable in his sight. He has forgiven us and given us the opportunity to repent, trusting in his saving grace.

The gift of healing the flesh and spirit is of Christ. One touch can change everything. The flesh dies and the Spirit lives. The path of righteousness in Christ is the only way to make it to the kingdom. In Christ, our sins are forgiven and we become knew creatures because of his love.
