God gets all the glory! We should love one another as we love God. Love is important to God. The essence of love is the quality, properties and the worth of it. God created all things and said that it was good. He is the Creator of life. He is love. No love, no God. He showed loved to humanity when he sent his only begotten son to save us from sin. God’s love is a complete revolving circle: God the Father, Jesus his Son, and his people. The love of God is of such high quality that love covers a multitude sins.
The Apostle Paul wrote the church about love in I Corinthians 13. It is an action word. God proved to us that he loved us, when he gave his only son for people who refused to acknowledge him. He is not a sounding brass or a tinkling cymbal. But God is the music. He shows love in so many ways. New mercies every morning is love. The forgiveness of sins is love. In the essence of love, Jesus is our foundation. In him, we will freely give love to others. He showed love when he gave his life on the cross for our sins, so that we can seek forgiveness and repentance. Without love, we will become walking bones to do any thing under the sun, disregarding our soul and others. Your life matters to God.
Love is kind and longsuffering. God is very patient with our disobedience. He tells us in the scriptures that there are consequences to our sins. But God is merciful. The word may hurt but it is given to save us. God does not boast about himself, we are called to boast of him. We should shine in his love. Christ came with humility. Love does not envy, which leads to hatred. Love is modesty, it is not self-serving. The essence of love is the characteristics of God magnificent power displayed in his creations.
Love is renewing of your heart because you draw closer to God, who is love. Seek love that you may absorb the essence of love. Just as you want the best of everything in your life, consider the quality of love that God has given to us. Make your love of essence.
