Scripture: Hebrews 13:8
When God sent Jesus Christ, he gave us his all. One message remains a constant throughout the lives of God’s people, God wants to be us. The death and resurrection of Jesus has made it possible for us to accepts and believe in salvation. It is in salvation that we build a lasting relationship with God and Christ..
The greatest friend in the world is Jesus Christ. He is one friend that all can share. He does not discriminate, favor, or deny. The invitation to accept him is one’s choice. But to deny him, is to deny God. For Jesus and God are one.
Jesus gives us far more than we will ever be able to give one another. He is a friend that does not change. He loves us even when we fail to do his will. In him, we have all the things that we need. Nobody can do for us what Christ does. “Jesus Christ is the same today, yesterday and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8) We can have confidence that whenever we call on him, he hears you. Jesus Christ, our friend, never changes.
God owns all things. “The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.”( Psalm 24:1) He alone is rich. He supplies all of our needs. Daily we acknowledge his power and his presence in all things. In the beginning God commanded and things became. So it is our lives. Faith is essential to understand the power of God and his will for man. Everything belongs to him. He wants us to enjoy the blessings in our life.
God is our protector. “The Lord is thy keeper; the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.” (Psalm 121:5) Daily we ask to be kept from seen and unseen dangers. It is not by luck that we are kept. God has his mighty hands on our life. Not only does he keep us from bodily harm. But in Christ, our souls our protected from eternal damnation. Only in Christ can we have full coverage.
Jesus will answer prays. We are limited in how we can help each other. Christ has no limitations. He is able to change things when we pray and believe. “The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him truth.” (Psalm 145:18)
Jesus is the Prince of Peace. He is the ruler of peace. “For unto us a child is born…The Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6) Peace is to have harmony in God’s will. Anything outside of his will is confusion and leads to destruction. When we learn to abide in his will, we are encamped with his peace. We trust that he will take care of all things. His peace is a constant. Even in trouble, his peace assures us that we are more than conqueror.
God is love. His love has no boundaries. His love is so great that he is willing to forgive us for all sins. “God is love; and he that dwelleth in love, dwelleth in God, and God in him.” (I John 4:16) In Christ, we embrace the spirit of love for one another. We must love each other, if we love God.
Jesus Christ is the fulliment of all things. Truly, he is a friend for life. Can’t nobody do us like Jesus Christ.
