Esther 4; Genesis 2:21-24; Exodus 20:13; Luke 10:38-42
History records the struggles that women had to overcome to defend her role in the church. Under their leadership and spiritual calling, many people have been saved and remain in the faith of Jesus Christ. March is declared as Women’s History month. It is an annual event to highlight the many achievements and history of women. The church has taken the opportunity to highlight just a few faithful women in the bible and what their lives continue to do for many women of God today.
Evangelist Porter spoke of being bold like Esther and humble like Mary the mother of Jesus. Pastor Wilkerson spoke of the first woman Eve and her relationship with her husband Adam. Women must learn to release burdens, turn them over to Jesus. The most important decision in life is accept Jesus Christ as personal Savior. Apostle Hall encouraged women of God to learn to trust and embrace one another. She reference the ten commandments, “thou shalt not kill”. Words and looks kill our sisters. We must respect and love each other.
Our very own, Minister Elect LeQuita Harrison spoke of the That Good Part. God is a jealous God. He told us so in the ten commandments, “for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God”. He wants us to love and trust him only. Martha and Mary were two sisters who knew Jesus Christ. In the book of Luke, Jesus visited them and they welcomed him in their home. Martha was busy with hosting task. But Mary stop what she was doing to sit at the feet of our Savior. She choose that good part. We must put Christ first in our lives. Pray and consult him daily. Make time for him.
Each of these anointed women of God commented that there is no respect with him when it comes to salvation. There is no men versus woman. Neither is there an only men calling when it comes to leadership position to preach and teach the word of God. There are so many notable women in the scriptures and in the ministry. The word of God is to unite men and women to the fulfillment to minister in this powerful salvation call of Jesus Christ.
