"Eyes hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him."  What a mighty God! He knows all things and has plans for us that we can't even begin to put together.  His will is in constant motion, working for our good.

There are times when outcomes of our lives keep us in wonder and question. Mordecai and Esther were Jews, worshippers of  the living God. Mordecai served at the palace of king Ahasuerus.  Esther became the king's queen, after his wife Vashti rejected his command. Her Jewish identity was concealed until it was time for it to be  revealed to accomplish a greater purpose for them and God's people.   Adverse situations can lead to the opportunity of saving of lives and souls.

Mordecai overheard two of the king's chamberlains, Bigthan and Teresh, making a plan to take the life of the king. He sent word to Queen Esther and they were able to stop the tragedy by working wisely together.  But evil still prevailed in the king's palace.  Haman who was promoted above the princes, was an enemy of Mordecai and the Jews.  He persuaded the king to issue a decree to destroy the Jews because they did not keep his laws. When Mordecai perceived what was done to his people, he was greatly distressed. His sorrow was told to Esther and with further communication between the two, they worked together to save their people and in turn saved the king.

There are times when we will be in the camp of the enemy.   As long as we do not compromise our beliefs and love for God, being in their camp can achieve a soul-saving purpose.  Being saved does not exclude us from those who are not saved. It is by the way we present ourselves, they too can see the powerful light of Christ. His way gives us the earnest desire to share the plan of salvation and the peace that many are seeking. The outcome is unspeakable, if just one soul accepts the way of Jesus.

Our omniscient Father above, placed Mordecai and Esther in the palace of the king to save the lives of the people.  Today, as we study these historical chapters in the bible, our Sovereign God remains fully involved in all of the matters of the world. He is concerned about his people. We have to trust in the place we find ourselves to be in.  Let him use you to advance his kingdom. He has a will and a way,  "For all things work together for good, to them who love God, to them who are called according to his purpose".
